Visit of representatives of German company "Veridos GmbH"

On 19 March 2025, Service of technological security of state documents under the Ministry of Finance (hereinafter – the Service) was visited by vice president of sales for the European region Franck Amard and sales manager for North and Baltic states Liis Vilde from the German company “Veridos GmbH”. The guests introduced the newest type of passport of the Republic of Latvia created by their company, which was granted one of the best passports in Europe, Middle East and Africa during the international conference on the issues of high security printing for Europe, Middle East and Africa (High Security Printing EMEA) in 2024.

The passport of the neighbour country which was launched on 12 February 2024 comprises the images reflecting the beauty of nature that are linked with the newest technological security features and innovative personalisation solutions (e.g., a coloured passport holder photo).
