Training of international Thales Group representatives

On 3 June 2021, specialists of the Service of Technological Security of State Documents under the Ministry of Finance (hereinafter – the Service) were given an online training by representatives of international Thales Group – major producer of military equipment, and now the outstanding manufacturer of secure documents in the world – Kimmo Karppinen, Outi Hytonen and Terhi Halminen from the Division of Finland and Renaud Laffont-Leenhardtfrom from the Division of France. The specialists of the Service were acquainted with the newest tendencies in counterfeit and forgery of identity documents. The report “Passport fraud trends and ways to combat them” of Secure Identity Alliance was presented.

Representatives of international Thales Group emphasised that technological protection of documents is becoming more complex, and all the countries should give an integrated attention to this sphere. Not only the most advanced technological security features should be used, but also combined with the modern document design. International Thales Group representatives acquainted the specialists of the Service with the newest technologies of security printing, the most innovative technological security features and new trends in document design.
