International award to the new Lithuanian Identity card
On 13-15 June 2022, annual international conference on the issues of high security printing for Europe, Middle East and Africa (High Security Printing EMEA) was held in Tallinn, Estonian Republic. Annually, the winners of the regional ID documents (passports, ID cards and banknotes) of the year awards are announced during the conference.
An award in the best new national ID card category in Europe, Middle East and Africa was granted to the Service of Technological Security of State Documents under the Ministry of Finance for the new Lithuanian eID card which was launched in August 2021. This award is granted to the best national documents in the category of identity and travel documents since 2014. The new Lithuanian eID card was highly evaluated for the perfect linkage of its elegant design using national and ethnic motifs with the most advanced technological security features.
